On Saturday evening (March 8), the child informed her family about the incident, prompting them to take immediate action.
Local residents and family members confronted Abdul Malek, who initially denied the allegations but later confessed to the attempted rape. In a video that went viral on social media, Malek admitted, “I was misled by Satan. I have never done such a thing before. I did not harm her.” The 54-second video, posted on a Facebook account named Atikur Rahman, sparked widespread outrage.

Shamim Akhtar, the Investigation Officer (IO) of Sreepur Police Station, confirmed that accused madrasa teacher Abdul Malek had been arrested. The victim’s father filed a case against him on charges of attempted rape. The accused is currently being processed for court proceedings.
