Details of the Crime
According to sources, Moslem lured the girl into a nearby jute field under the pretext of offering her food. Once there, he held a pair of scissors to her throat, threatening to kill her if she resisted. When the child began crying, he covered her mouth and forcibly raped her. After the assault, he warned her not to tell anyone or face death.
Traumatized and terrified, the girl returned home and eventually disclosed the ordeal to her parents. The family initially sought justice through local influential figures, but the situation quickly grew more complicated.

Attempts to Suppress Justice with Bribes

After news of the rape spread through the village, the accused, Moslem, allegedly enlisted the help of local power brokers to cover up the crime with money. The victim’s family was pressured and offered financial incentives to drop the case. However, determined to seek justice, the family refused to be silenced. Fearing arrest, Moslem fled the area.

Police Investigation and Legal Action

Kolara Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC), Sheikh Saiful Islam, confirmed that the victim’s father has filed a rape case. Authorities are actively working to apprehend the suspect.
